Corus’ flagship hotel in London’s Hyde Park, appointed Airangel to update its guest Internet access to offer a more flexible and reliable service to guests.

The brief
The Corus Hotel Hyde Park is a 200 year old listed Georgian building, boasting 390 rooms, two restaurants and several meeting rooms.  The hotel attracts guests on both business and leisure stays and required a diverse Internet access solution that would meet the varied needs of its clientele and appropriately reflect the Corus brand. 

As the Hotel offers complimentary Internet access for guests, a key part of the brief was to design and build an Internet access portal that would help drive REVPAR through the promotion of Hotel services and facilities.

The solution
WiFi access points were cleverly and considerately positioned in the listed building, ensuring optimum coverage for all public spaces, meeting rooms and bedrooms, allowing guests and business clients to seamlessly work throughout the Hotel. 

A Corus branded Internet access portal was designed and developed, giving the Hotel a unique and personal platform to directly market services and information to guests, creating added occasion for personalised dialogue with customers as well as extending the brand experience.  For business and meeting clientele, a driverless printing solution was incorporated into the WiFi offering, allowing guests to print documentation easily and securely to the Hotel’s business centre.

The result
Guests now enjoy fast and reliable Internet access and Corus Hotel have an extra channel in which to engage with their guests. The Internet access portal has also given the Hotel an additional sales channel to showcase other in-house products and services, including the restaurant, bar and meeting facilities.
