What is Lawful Intercept?

To comply with the new European directive, an internet provider must keep track of the websites visited by the subscriber. This directive implies that you have to be able to retrieve who surfed to a specific IP address / port at a given time.

Providing a public access network presents a huge concern that users could carry out illegal downloading, send threatening emails or engage in other illegal activities within the safe haven of your location.
Without taking appropriate measures to safeguard such activities, your brand could be associated to negative activity and you could potentially be liable for your guests' activities.

With each install, Airangel provide software which is enabled to monitor all port assignments for all users accessing the public network. These subscriber tracking logs enable us to trace-back to a particular MAC address and username based on port and IP information. We retain this data in the correct format, archive all files and store information for the required time set by the Lawful intercept Directives.

We work in partnership with all individual venue owners to ensure we provide a solution that fits within the practicalities of your business, whilst ensuring each guests' internet access is as seamless and easy as it’s always been.
